In this case, the dolphin, framed with a bold photographic angle that enlarges its snout, has a surface composed of what appear to be metallic scales. He moved to Rome, where he studied under Renato Guttuso. Initially, he also looked to Carrà and De Chirico, but later embraced Expressionist Realism. He participated in the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadrennial, and in 1973 he won the Fiorino Prize in Florence.
