The various Informal movements are certainly connected to American Abstract Expressionism, especially with regard to the gestural component, but they go further in their rejection of any figurative element, even geometric. Their research focuses instead on the material from which their works are composed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eThe style of painter Alfonso Borghi is founded on color, texture, and painterly gesture. These three elements combine on his canvases to create compositions in which form takes a backseat, giving way to an unleashing of creative energy. Although these completely abstract compositions seem to maintain a certain sense of geometry and compositional balance, he seeks to somehow channel his creative flow by arranging his material with a certain balance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eAlfonso Borghi was born in 1944 in Campegine. Already at the age of 18, he had the opportunity to exhibit his work, followed by a trip to Paris, where he studied the historical avant-garde. From the 1980s onwards, various events and exhibitions followed. In 2005, the Palace of Justice in Milan commissioned three works from him. He has held various solo exhibitions in Milan, Correggio, Guastalla, Parma, Reggio Emilia, and San Francisco.
