He moved to Milan with his family in 1930 as a young man, and it was in Milan that he spent most of his career. He trained at the Brera Academy, and his work was exhibited for the first time in 1950 at the Galleria Travaglini. Between 1950 and 1960, his work was featured in seven major solo exhibitions in Milan, Trieste, Como, Monza, and Vigevano, in addition to an unspecified number of group exhibitions and painting awards.
