Capozzo's informal style has two constitutive elements that we see recur in this canvas. First, the thick, textured brushstroke that becomes structure and generates the painting's main content with its instinctive movement. Then, the painter's gesture, in a sort of over-the-top Action Painting, allows a dense dripping pattern to flow across the canvas, undoing the previously created structure and reconfiguring it.
