In this painting, Antonio De Muro interprets reality very schematically, breaking down his perception of the landscape into a series of distinct shapes and chromatic zones. Color itself is used according to an emotional and spiritual interpretation, without any connection to reality. Even the pictorial layering is in line with an Expressionist poetics, appearing dense and material, charged with vibrations. In this way, the entire representation of reality is resolved in a powerfully Expressionist and abstract vision, where the elements that stand out are the painter's sense of form and balance within the overall composition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eAntonio De Muro was born in Taranto in 1924 and lives and works in Milan. His initial training, however, took place in Venice, where, in 1946, he met Filippo De Pisis, who encouraged him to pursue a career in painting. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in cities such as Palermo, Milan, Livorno, Florence, Rome, Verona, Genoa, Como, and Turin.
