While teaching, he began working as a satirical illustrator, succeeding cartoonist Mino Maccari on the pages of the weekly magazine \"Il Mondo,\" and illustrated several volumes in Arnoldo Mondadori Editore's \"Il Ponte\" series. His encounter with the Russian painter Marc Chagall on the French Riviera in 1957 was crucial, after which he decided to devote himself fully to \"professional painting.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e Since 1960, he has received numerous awards, exhibiting in leading Italian and foreign galleries.
