beatrice-gallori-drops
Beatrice Gallori - Drops

Beatrice Gallori's artistic production necessarily stems from Spatialism. Born in 1946 with Lucio Fontana's Manifiesto Blanco, this movement posed, first and foremost, a question of how artworks are perceived. The aim of Spatialism was to definitively transcend the surface of the canvas for a perceptual experience that definitively engaged Space. Hence, the application of electronic technical devices, used for their ability to radiate energy, or the use of gestural techniques, such as holes or cuts, aimed at breaking through the surface of the work and invading it with the accidentality of reality.

Beatrice Gallori's path to definitively transcend the dimension of the work and invade reality looks to the great masters of Spatialism. The artist, in fact, draws on the concept of the everted canvas, creating a new perceptual stimulus through a work in relief and the resulting play of shadows produced on the surface when her works present bulges. But at the same time, Beatrice Gallori is also very much aware of Fontana, in her piercing of the support with holes. The artist's originality lies in the fact that her works have a more biological, less rationalistic appearance, both in the bulges and the holes, and the compositions have a more organic character, inspired by a natural element such as the drop. Regarding color, Beatrice Gallori adheres to monochrome, like the great masters. A typical feature is a deep red, one of her favorite colors.

Beatrice Gallori was born in Montevarchi in 1978.
