However, when an artist's goal is to represent an object that resonates with phenomenal reality but is also charged with hidden and symbolic meaning, this boundary can become blurred. Symbolism and Expressionism are emblematic stylistic movements in their conceptual interpretation of reality, with an iconic rendering of images and a symbolic interpretation in the use of color.

This study by Bruno Zoppetti is characterized by the development of a strongly expressionist language. The artist seeks to go beyond what is perceived by the senses to extrapolate the true essence of reality and communicate it on paper in a lively and dramatic manner. To this end, he develops a highly synthesised process that reduces subjects to lines and signs, in which the painter's emotion is also the protagonist, conveyed through his agitated gestures. All these elements together constitute the expressionistic power of this work, which is also based on a specific aesthetic choice: that of favoring a marked monochrome from which the images emerge almost with difficulty.

Bruno Zoppetti was born in 1961 in Seriate and lives between Bergamo, Brescia, and Milan. In 1979, he enrolled and graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, but was deeply disappointed. After returning to the province, he began a frenetic career as a substitute teacher in schools, and painting became a refuge and a stubborn pursuit, which he pursued in his first studio, a twenty-square-meter room in Lovere. Then, in 1990, he resigned from his teaching position in painting at the Lovere art high school to move to Milan. That same year, the opportunity arose for an exhibition at the Galleria delle Ore. He teaches painting at the Primo Levi Art High School in Sarezzo (Brescia), and in addition to painting, he enjoys food and wine in his spare time, as evidenced by the exhibition of his paintings at the traditional restaurant "Il Verso del Ghiottone" in Dogliani (Cuneo). Bruno Zoppetti has participated in numerous group exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.
