In this case, the buds, though full of form and volume, are treated with a thick brushstroke that breaks up the surface. It's life flowing through these flowers, an existence that already foreshadows their decay. The color is imbued with a warm sunlight, undoubtedly reminiscent of his experience in Africa.\n\r \nFelice Cantimori, known as Cino, spent much of his life in Russi (1906-1993). He lived in Africa for a long time but returned to his native country in 1984. Throughout his career, he focused primarily on landscape painting. For a time, he was influenced by Futurism. His experience in Africa was crucial in inspiring him to fill his paintings with a warm, sunny light.
