He studied in Bologna and Paris, specializing in advertising graphics. He later devoted himself to painting, debuting with informal solutions based on material and gesture. From the early 1960s he directed his research towards a new figuration, developing clear, geometrically structured images derived from the mass media or inspired by the art of the past, often associated, in ironic assemblages, with different objects (Disagio pubblicitario, 1963, Turin, Galleria civica d'arte moderna; I miei fiori nello studio di Morandi, 1989, private collection). He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and Urbino and was artistic director (1998) of the Casa del Mantegna in Mantua. He was councilor for culture of the municipality of Bologna from 1993 to 1996. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca. His works have been the subject of important solo exhibitions: at the Artcurial Centre d'Art Contemporain in Monte Carlo (2002); at the Frisacco Museum in Udine (2005); at the Morandi Museum in Bologna (2007). In 2005 he was awarded the seal of the Alma Mater Studiorum of the University of Bologna.\n (Source: Treccani.it)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Bencivenga Pasquale","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56211308970370,"sku":"PBEN005","price":1100.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0909\/7065\/3058\/files\/IMG_6406.jpg?v=1768398989","url":"https:\/\/cjfh11-ee.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/concetto-pozzati-senza-titolo","provider":"Venderequadri","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
