His color fields are textured, dense with raw color that forms raised streaks across the surface of the work, a characteristic that clearly differentiates him from Mondrian. Trotta typically allows no pauses; his structure is tight. From a young age, he displayed a rich sensitivity and a desire to express himself in various artistic forms.
