Subsequently, painters, especially the Impressionists, increasingly focused on the floral world, as an extraordinary opportunity to capture vibrant colors and light. Thus, flowers were depicted not only in vases, but also immersed in their natural landscape. While initially a pretext for painters to attempt a photographic reproduction of reality, with contemporary art, the subject of flowers also became a way of interpreting reality.

Painter Fernanda Palvarini's style is distinguished by an excellent drawing technique. As we can see in this work, the most salient aspect of the representation is its authenticity. According to this principle, the flowers are reproduced on the canvas in every detail and perfectly characterized in terms of volume and color. The interplay of light and shadow is also remarkable, effectively enlivening her paintings and heightening their realism. This work is further enhanced by the use of gold and silver leaf, with which the artist alternates the pictorial representation with flowers recreated in relief, creating an elegant decoration around the frame. All this further enhances the light already inherent in Fernanda Palvarini's application of color.

Fernanda Palvarini is an artist originally from Brescia.
