First, the figure is delineated along a more square and essential line, allowing for a modern expressiveness. The remaining space of the work, however, presents an extremely uneven surface that effectively contrasts with the smoothness of the figure. In this expressionist and contemporary reworking, Marchionni nevertheless manages to calibrate the composition, creating an overall effect of great classical harmony and balance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eElvio Marchionni is an artist born in Spello in 1954. His entire artistic research is grounded in the recovery of memories and emotions from the past. His paintings appear like fragments of torn frescoes, references to 15th-century Umbrian painting, of which Marchionni is a great connoisseur. His sculptures presuppose a study of Renaissance harmony and proportion.
