The urban view is constructed in a sort of rarefied two-dimensionality, where only through the fields of color can we discern the buildings' volumes. There's a search for expressiveness that culminates in an abstract representation of the buildings. Finally, it's the color that completes the work, unifying the surface in an atmosphere filled with smog and humidity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eFrancesco Saltara was an artist from Pavia, born in 1930 and died in 2010. His popularity increased after his participation in the Bottigella Prize. His artistic language was shaped by an existentialist realism, formally expressed with expressionist accents. His images, emptied of metropolitan views or garments hung in decontextualized spaces, are famous.
