His brushstrokes are therefore characterized by a remarkably cursive touch, made up of sudden flickers, effectively capturing the vibrations of light on objects. This is particularly evident in the rendering of foliage or the vibrations on the walls of buildings. From 1934 to 1939, under the direction of the painter and sculptor Antonio Morera, he attended the Ligurian Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa. In 1937, at just seventeen years old, he participated in his first group exhibition. Resecco employed a wide range of artistic techniques: drawing (pencil, pastel, charcoal, sanguine), painting (acrylic tempera, oil paint, watercolor, fresco), and woodcut. The landscape of Ovada and its surroundings found in the artist a skilled and sensitive interpreter.
