He was a Neapolitan painter who became interested in art at an early age, enrolling at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. He became acquainted with the artists of the Neapolitan Secession and then, for a few years, came into contact with the Novecento group. He exhibited in numerous shows both abroad and nationally. In 1920, he participated in the Venice Biennale, in 1921 in the Rome Quadrennial, and in 1923 and subsequent years, in the Naples National Biennial. In Italy, he also frescoed several churches. Several of his works are held in public and private collections.
