He trained at the Brera Academy under Cesare Tallone, Ambrogio Alciati, and his father, Alcide Davide Campestrini. He taught for many years, both at the Brera School of Crafts and at the Ursoline Art School. He devoted himself primarily to landscapes and portraits.
