The painter's pictorial technique is dense and mellow, moving across different dimensional planes to give form to the objects the painter wishes to depict. The entire painted surface is unified by a harmonious palette of grays. The forms are quickly and effectively synthesized, and the entire scene is imbued with vibrations that are not only luminous and atmospheric, but also existential. The small figures move across the snowy landscape almost like visions, in an urban scene that blends the realism of the representation with a poetic, dreamlike dimension.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eGimmy Longhi was an artist originally from Gallarate, born in 1922 and passed away in 1993. Throughout his career, he focused primarily on classical and traditional genres such as landscape and portraiture, developing an impeccable naturalism tinged with an impressionistic pictorial lyricism. He received numerous awards.
