{"product_id":"giovan-francesco-gonzaga-cavaliere-2","title":"GIOVAN FRANCESCO GONZAGA - KNIGHT","description":"\u003cstrong\u003eGiovan Francesco Gonzaga\u003c\/strong\u003e , self-taught painter and sculptor, was born in Milan in 1921 where he received his artistic training.\n\n Already as a boy in the Sforza Castle Museum, he spent hours copying the studies and drawings of the greats of the past such as Leonardo and Michelangelo.\n\n After graduating from high school, against his family's wishes, he volunteered for the Second World War with the Savoia Cavalleria, taking part in patrol actions in the Russian steppe with the \"Fantasma\" squadron.\n\n After the harsh experience of the war, the young Gonzaga did not pursue his artistic studies further, but continued to paint with passion, but as a self-taught artist, considering Nature his only teacher.\n\n The months spent in close contact with the horse during the war had ignited in him a true passion for horses, the subject of numerous paintings, sculptures and poems.\n\r \nHe said of himself: “ \u003cem\u003eI am a decadent, a twilight dweller. I don't drive a car. I ride a horse.\n I spent my childhood among neighs and stable scents… When I ride through the meadows, my heart wanders in the mist-filled morning\u003c\/em\u003e …\".\n\n In 1955 Giovan Francesco Gonzaga embarked on a journey through Spain, from whose landscape his palette was enriched with new colour for his animals.\n\n THU\n\n His paintings overflow with love and respect for horses and animals in general, nature is always admired as a source of authenticity, purity and freedom.\n\n The artistic value of Gonzaga's works deserved various recognitions: in 1963 with the Marzotto Prize, in 1967 with the Pavone d'oro, in 1972 with Le grolle, in 1997 with a Gold Medal from Pope John Paul II and in 2001 he received the Ambrogino d'oro from the Municipality of Milan.\n\r \nThe artist died in his hometown, Milan, on October 2, 2007, and his works are featured in several museums, including the Pinerolo Cavalry Museum, the Historical Museum of the Guardia di Finanza in Rome, the Tel Aviv Museum, the Los Angeles Art Museum, and in public and private collections in Italy, France, Spain, Luxembourg, Indonesia, China, Japan, Singapore, and America.","brand":"D'AMELIO LORENZO","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56218663387522,"sku":"LODAM002","price":1000.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0909\/7065\/3058\/files\/DAMELIO-GONZAGA.jpg?v=1768475480","url":"https:\/\/cjfh11-ee.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/giovan-francesco-gonzaga-cavaliere-2","provider":"Venderequadri","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
