Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance; then with atmospheric rendering in the sixteenth century; and finally with the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eThe style developed by Ernesto Giupponi in his works highlights a post-Impressionist maturity. The composition is entirely compressed in the foreground, and spatial depth is only hinted at by the convergence of the road. The painter's aim is not to capture the sensory aspect of the view, but to capture its very essence, its substance. To this end, the brushstrokes, rich in texture, intervene, which, despite the essentiality of the representation, flesh out the objects, breaking them down into different planes, recording the vibrations of light and life within them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eErnesto Giupponi (Brescia, 22 1924). Self-taught, he has participated in numerous provincial exhibitions, including the Caprino Veronese, Bormio, Bomato, S. Agata, Santhià, and Villanuova prizes, where he particularly stood out. Vittorio Ravasio also recalls Giupponi's appearances in London and New York. His solo exhibitions are noted in 1968, 1970, 1972, 1973, and 1974 (Vallio, Montecatini, Roncadelle, Desenzano, Brescia). A purely landscape artist, he draws inspiration from tradition and mountain motifs, where he can \"play\" with various shades of green to recompose the crowns of majestic trees, the sloping meadows, the composite receding of bushes and boulders along streams of foaming or clear water.
