The highly artificial light recalls the unnatural light found in metaphysical paintings, which attempts to harmonize the forms. Compositionally, although there are gaps within the panel, from an optical perspective the line and its detail complete the painting. Furthermore, the objects depicted appear to possess a hidden symbolism.\n\r \nGiuseppe Siccardi, born in Turin in 1937, began his career as a graphic designer, also designing the graphic and advertising image for the famous chocolate kisses, complete with hazelnuts and a love note. He then moved to Padua. Giuseppe Siccardi had always lived off his art: a figurative and surreal landscape painter, with a meticulous, almost Flemish style, highly recognizable and highly regarded nationally. He curated exhibitions and exhibited his work throughout Italy, receiving numerous awards and accolades. One of his greatest works is the depiction of the Dying Saint Anthony, which can be admired above the main portal of the Sanctuary of St. Anthony of Arcella in Padua.
