In this way, Guidi leaves the realm of phenomenal reality, venturing into the realm of expressionist synthesis. This expressionism is made of broad strokes of color that synthesize subjects with just a few brushstrokes. He was one of the most important exponents of the Gruppo Labronico. He participated in the group's most important exhibitions: in 1961 in Florence at the Galleria Cancelli, in 1963 in Rome at the Galleria Antares with a solo show presented by Sante Monachesi, in 1965 in Grosseto, Lucca, and the Palazzo dei Priori in Volterra. Guido Guidi's entire life was marked by the loss of his son Luciano in 1928, a condition that led to frequent bouts of depression.
