Dessi. Born in Novocherkassk in 1898, he began his education in his home country. After the war, he won a scholarship that allowed him to move to Milan, where he graduated from the Brera Academy under the guidance of Ambrogio Alciati. He became very popular for his work, which combined a typically Slavic sensibility with Lombard landscapes.
