Luca Pignatelli's work is a constant process of collecting, recovering, and reworking iconographic elements from history and art, and beyond. He layers and transforms a diverse archive of collective and universal images, abstract and figurative, from ancient and contemporary eras, according to what critics have defined as a "Theater of Memory."

One of the recurring themes in Luca Pignatelli's artistic production is his interest in urban architecture and the rational compositional lines it expresses. In this work, we can appreciate how the artist seeks to highlight this interplay of lines, reconstructing the building, however, through his own, more abstract vision. Having graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan, his study of this discipline would form an important foundation for his artistic language. His research focuses on large-scale works, often created on unusual supports, such as canvas, wood, iron, and assembled paper.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0909/7065/3058/files/new-york_63b5a63e-4965-495f-8801-bcb5746f718a.jpg?v=1768473238
