Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance; then with atmospheric rendering in the 16th century; and finally with the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism. This work is part of a collection of graphic works in which Luigi Vidoni drew inspiration from evocative views of his native Friuli.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eIn this series of graphics, artist Luigi Vidoni's style presents a perfect fusion of realism and a delicate, impressionistic rendering of sensory information. On the one hand, the artist precisely describes the view in all its details, with a strong sense of reality and a thorough desire to capture sensory information. On the other, his refined graphic technique allows him to convey a sense of immediacy to the sheet of paper, thanks to a rapid stroke, charged with atmospheric vibrations. Light thus reflects on objects, but without interfering with the precise description of reality. The entire scene is thus characterized by a clear luminosity that is revealed, by contrast, in the play of shadows.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eLuigi Vidoni (1915, Tolmezzo - 2017, Cividale del Friuli). Throughout his long and varied artistic career, Vidoni has developed and refined the technique of watercolor, of which he has established himself as a master.
