This view, first and foremost, features a rational and orderly spatial conception based on a subtle atmospheric perspective. A clear, sunny light illuminates the entire scene and highlights the clear volumes delineated by Sardelli. His first solo exhibition was held in 1955, followed by exhibitions both domestically and internationally. From the mid-1980s, he began producing cartoons for the newspaper Il Tirreno. Between 1975 and 1986, he was director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Livorno and president of the Rotonda Prize.
