One can see how the painting is constructed entirely through color on a two-dimensional surface, using rapid hatching. In this painting, as a true Livorno painter, Sardelli also shows his influence on the tradition of the post-Macchiaioli and post-Impressionist Livorno School.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e Marc Sardelli was born in Livorno in 1930 and trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. His first solo exhibition was held in 1955, followed by exhibitions both domestically and internationally. From the mid-1980s, he began producing cartoons for the newspaper Il Tirreno. Between 1975 and 1986, he was director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Livorno and president of the Rotonda Prize.
