Geometry clearly prevails over nature, creating a metaphysical sense of enigmatic suspension. Nothing intervenes to break this compositional spell: indeed, even on a formal level, Scuffi steers clear of any pictorialism or atmosphericism that might undermine the pure materiality of his objects.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eMarcello Scuffi was born in Tizzana in 1948 and lives and works in Versilia, between Quarrata and Marina di Pietrasanta. Self-taught, his career began in 1970, when painting became his profession. Since 1972, he has participated in at least thirty solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions. His work is well known not only in Italy, but also in France, Belgium, and Switzerland.
