He trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. In the 1980s, he became interested in Futurism. Lodola combines his visual art with other disciplines, such as music and literature. His artistic language is characterized by the use of plastic materials into which he physically introduces light. He has participated in several editions of the Venice Biennale.
