A painter of Italian-Japanese descent, Maria Arimidzu was born in the USA and has an interesting and fulfilling life. She earned a degree in graphic arts from the New York School of Art, followed by a master's degree in foreign languages, and studied piano and harp at the National Conservatory of Music in New York. She also earned a degree in music pedagogy from the Donizetti Conservatory in Bergamo, in collaboration with the Hungarian Academy of Arts in Kodaly. In addition to her academic training, a passion for art runs in her family, from her grandmother, the painter Maria Paoletti, to her paternal uncle, architect Walter Nakakodi, a professor of Fine Arts at the University of New York. It was in her uncle's studio that she had the opportunity to experiment with new techniques. His pictorial representations are the sum of his life experiences, translating his deepest emotions onto canvas, which, continually evolving, bring unique and original values. His canvases are the image of an in-depth study, beginning with numerous readings and then arriving at a state of creation that goes beyond the materiality of the canvas, questioning its meaning and purpose. The strong color he uses is a testament to sensations, freshness, and vivacity, expressing a sensitivity towards pure painting. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, earning numerous awards: 2001 \"NY Gallery\" Award of Merit, USA; 2003 \"Nihon Gallery\" Award, Tokyo, Japan; 2013 \"Controfase\" Exhibition, Trieste, Italy; 2016 \"Sagra delle rane di Cherasco\" Exhibition, Cherasco, Italy, curated by Prof. Giorgio Grasso, 2016 The International Contemporary Art Biennial “Mediolanum Art Gallery Padua-Italy curated by prof.
