Light permeates the entire scene, and the artist is also capable, with quick brushstrokes, of capturing all the luminous vibrations of the leaves or the surface of the lake. He displayed a high level of academic training. He remained faithful to a concept of art based on the imitation of nature and allowed little subjectivity.
