From an early age, he showed a propensity for drawing. He trained in Brescia under the guidance of the Mozzoni brothers, and in 1958 he exhibited his work in his first solo show with Giuseppe Mozzoni. In the following years, he held several solo exhibitions in his hometown, as well as in other Italian towns (Bolzano 1963, Gardone Riviera and Lumezzane 1965, Boario 1967, Vallio 1968\/72, Iseo and Sale Marasino 1970, Brescia 1976, Florence 1996).
