Indeed, what he depicts is perfectly plausible, yet his interpretation transfigures reality into an unreal atmosphere, suspended in silent stillness. In this sense, the chromatic contribution of the intense blue that predominates in Padovani's work is fundamental. The color of the sea is applied objectively and compactly. Striking flashes of light along the horizon, the blue unites sky and sea, filling the surface of the work. Padovani's stylistic approach to the small trabocco, which seems to be lost in the immensity of the water's surface, is entirely different. He created the \"Bluism\" movement, so called because of the intense blue hues that characterize his works.
