Compositionally, Ortega also exploits the relief and roughness of the medium in his graphic works.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eJosé Garcia Ortega was a Spanish artist born in Arroba de los Montes in 1921 and died in Paris in 1990. His fame is primarily linked to his art's civic engagement with the Spanish Civil War. He was exiled in the 1960s and moved to Paris. His first exhibition in Italy was held in 1964 by Antonello Trombadori in Rome. In the following years, he held numerous exhibitions in Philadelphia, Toronto, St. Louis, Zurich, Turin, and Brussels.
