The artist's primary goal is not to achieve a perfect naturalistic rendering (even though he operates within the realm of figurative language). Formally, Vanni is primarily interested in constructing a composition made of pure volumes. There is a genuine geometric approach that allows the architectural backdrops to create a precise orthogonal perspective. This exaltation of the traditional values ​​of Italian painting, of plasticism and rationality, is further enlivened by Vanni's application of dense, brightly colored paint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003ePietro Vanni was a painter originally from Terzone di Leonessa, where he was born in 1925 and passed away in 2002. Self-taught, he long divided his time between his artistic vocation and his social work as a leader of a Catholic-inspired workers' movement. He eventually chose to dedicate himself fully to art, training in Rome with Professor Manzano.
