It is a testament to the contemporary, the spontaneous, to a world that constantly bombards us with visions, images, and colors. If we apply this not only to our contemporary world, but to a specific place, near Rome, then it is there that we can encounter Roberta Modena. The young artist, born in 1975, lives in Latina. From a young age, she admired old masters like Caravaggio and Rembrandt, but at the same time, she was fascinated by the works of much more recent artists, such as Andy Warhol, the man we consider the father of Pop Art, and Banksy, the ubiquitous conceptual and satirical street artist. She began to explore her artistic journey when the pandemic forced her to stay home, and it was precisely at that moment that she put herself and her creativity to the test. She thus blends her mystical fascination with the ancient with a more conceptual and ironic side that interprets our society. A key example of this approach is seen in the work \"The New Italianity.\" In this series of works, she reinterprets Warhol's famous Italian soups, and where he saw bean and tomato soups, she takes over Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana, and Carbonara. Evidence of the artist's ongoing evolution is also found in her sculptures. Again referencing Warhol, she created Marilyn in the Box, a multifaceted work that combines painting and sculpture, displaying the icon on corrugated sheets of metal, thus creating a work whose appearance varies depending on the viewer's position. In addition to these pieces, she also works on commission, creating innovative pieces from recycled materials. Although she has only recently entered the art world, she can already boast having participated in various national and international exhibitions, which confirm the interest her large-scale works generate and suggest that her art's reputation is steadily growing. She also maintains an ongoing collaboration with the MAD – Museo d'Arte Diffusa in Latina.","brand":"Roberta Modena","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56220376695170,"sku":"RMOD001","price":250.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0909\/7065\/3058\/files\/roman.jpg?v=1768490198","url":"https:\/\/cjfh11-ee.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/roberta-modena-spray-roman","provider":"Venderequadri","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
