On the one hand, the use of raw canvas, a significant element of mechanical production, leads to the rejection of traditional support in favor of an object evocative of contemporary society. On the support, the artist applies even rougher pieces of jute thread, in an informal composition, thus demonstrating his interest in elevating the simple object, the waste, to a work of art. Finally, the third element, the material, the colored earth, is superimposed, which gestural reshapes the canvas and gives it a new poetics that can still be traced back to an abstract expressionist aesthetic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eSalvatore Emblema (1929-2006). He trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. His artistic research was influenced by Spatialism, which focused on the intervention of reality into the artwork and the use of raw materials such as clay and canvas.
