Formally, the artist bucks the trend of historical Surrealism, in that he does not employ a hyperrealist language. Scifoni, while remaining figurative, prefers a more synthetic language. This does not, however, prevent him from giving his figures strong character, thanks in part to the complexity of his brushstrokes.
