The work in question depicts the detail of the Madonna and Child on a stone slab, in an evocative composition that imitates a detached fresco fragment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eThe present work perfectly replicates the characteristics of the \"Madonna dei Tramonti,\" demonstrating the peculiarities of 14th-century Sienese painting, of which the Lorenzetti brothers were among the most important exponents. The graphic design, in fact, displays a splendid fusion between Giotto's exploration of a more accentuated naturalism and plastic concreteness, and the distinctively late-Gothic character of Sienese art, characterized by an unmistakable courtly refinement and a careful attention to the definition of feelings and affections. Thus, Giotto's solemnity is tempered by a more human exchange of glances, between mother and son, and a generally intimate and domestic gesture. The reproduction of the gilding and the intense lapis lazuli blue of the Madonna's robe is also beautiful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eThis work is part of a collection featuring reproductions inspired by the great masters of art history.
