For this reason, his pictorial production, rather than harking back to the perceptual demands of the early abstract avant-garde, takes on an existential tone that underlies deeper reflections. In some ways, Fini's figures remind us of the depersonalization of Renato Mambor's cold silhouettes or the repetitiveness of Mario Ceroli's outlines. However, in Fini we do not discern the former's vibrant pop influence, nor the latter's affiliation with Arte Povera: rather, he pursues his own original path of rationalist and balanced compositions that bring him back into the fold of existential abstraction.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eSebastiano Fini was born in 1949 in Dorno. He was a sculptor, visual artist, photographer, musician, and set designer. He lived in Milan until 1978, then went to work in France and Spain. Midway through his career (1981-1985), he isolated himself on the island of Panarea.
