Their research focuses instead on the material from which their works are composed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eThe work draws on an informal aesthetic, particularly inspired by American Abstract Expressionism. The entire creative process of the painting is guided by a powerful gesturality expressed through various layers: broad strokes, thin streaks, and drips. Pure emotion and spirituality are transformed into gesture and matter. This exuberant emotionality, however, is governed by a certain sense of chromatic and compositional balance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e Silvio Formichetti is a painter originally from Pratola Peligna, in the province of L'Aquila, where he lives and works. Self-taught, he began painting female nudes and landscapes. In the 1990s, he began exploring informal art, drawing inspiration from Pollock and American Action Painting.
