The processes of abstraction brought about by contemporary art have contributed to this type of investigation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eThis work is part of a series of watercolors by Enzo Simonetti, which showcase a profound study and meditation on the human figure, particularly children, a subject dear to him. This exploration leads to a highly abstract process that culminates in an elegant synthesis of volumes. The subjects are constructed from essential, almost modular forms, produced in series. Over this light structure, the paint is diluted in transparent veils that give form to the figures. The volumes, however, are always delineated with an almost evanescent, ethereal consistency.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n\u003cp\u003e Enzo Simonetti was born in Matelica in 1914 and died in Milan in 1973. Simonetti was deeply interested in the human figure.
