Despite the realistic theme, even in these views Zancanaro maintains his imaginative and caricatural verve, defining the space with his trademark lopsided perspective that transfigures everything into a magical, fairytale-like aura. However, Zancanaro's extraordinary technique allows for an impeccable rendering of sensitive details, and thus the view is crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Compared to the surreal scenes in his city views, Zancanaro favors a quicker, more concise approach, rather than a graphic line, to achieve greater freshness in execution.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eAntonio Zancanaro (Padua 1906 - 1985), known as Tono, began painting only in 1932, after abandoning a promising sports career. He was self-taught, having trained in the Florentine anti-fascist movement with Ottone Rosai.
