In the 1970s, he abandoned the widespread conversion to conceptual art and instead, following the American model, turned to experimental cinema, which has remained a fundamental aspect of his artistic production. During these years of reflection, he also began a trend of reinterpretation, deconstruction, and reinvention of other people's art, as well as experimentation with unusual materials and techniques (such as inlay): precious woods, mother-of-pearl, ivory, alabaster, silver, leather, and porcelain. In the 1980s, his figurative research and film production progressed together, giving rise to a wide range of experiences in the applied arts sector, spanning a wide variety of fields.
