Landscape and the perceptible world in general are interpreted through a highly gestural painting technique that verges on Abstract Expressionism. Thus, we can appreciate how objects are depicted with vigorous, dense, and almost material brushstrokes. Volumes are virtually shattered into a complex, multi-colored, and faceted surface.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eUgo Rambaldi was a painter born in Spoleto in 1910 and died in Rome in 1985. He trained in Perugia and Bologna and, from a very young age, created frescoes in important churches (S. Antonio di Padova, S. Petronio, and S. Francesco in Bologna). In the early 1950s, he founded the Circolo Artistico di Spoleto, with which he organized important exhibitions. He later belonged to the Spoleto Six, along with De Gregorio, Raspi, Marignoli, Orsini, and Toscano.
