However, Hopper's unfiltered, light-filled reality is completely reworked by Vargas, who imbues it with lived experience and emotionally charged vibrations. Indeed, on a formal level, while the drawing is extremely precise, almost hyperrealistic in capturing every minute detail of the objects, on a pictorial level, reality is represented with a highly structural paint layer, which arranges the brushstrokes plane upon plane. In this way, the surface of the painting becomes complex, suited to capturing the complexity of the human gaze.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eVirginia Vargas is an artist originally from Montevideo, where she was born in 1972. She moved to Italy as a child and trained in architecture, set design, and painting. She also designed clothing for her family's shop.
