Light thus reflects on the objects, but without interfering with the precise depiction of reality. The entire view is thus characterized by a clear luminosity that is revealed, by contrast, in the play of shadows. The use of a palette of soft, delicate colors also serves this purpose.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eVelia Simoncini was born in Porto Recanati in 1911 and passed away in 2003. Demonstrating a passion for art from an early age, she was self-taught. Only as an adult did she manage to attend painting schools in Macerata. She exhibited extensively in Italy and abroad, in cities such as Venice, Monte Carlo, Rome, Urbino, Washington, Paris, and Brera. She received important awards, including medals and gold plaques. She also received the Venice Biennale Trophy and the international Golden Lion award.
