In Villy Clemente's landscapes, therefore, we can appreciate how reality is reconstructed through patches of color that create a harmonious interplay of shapes and planes that interlock on the surface of the painting. The use of light, again through the tonal values ​​of color, is fundamental and dramatic, measuring spaces and distances and determining precise and unique atmospheric conditions. However, compared to Domenici, we can note that Clemente uses a more calligraphic and cursive brushstroke.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eVilly Clemente was born in Livorno in 1923. Inspired by Carlo Domenici, he became a prominent representative of the Livorno school. He participated in numerous group exhibitions and competitions, achieving success. Clemente is a painter of Macchiaioli origins, but, as a self-taught artist, he has also gained experience in diverse cultural and artistic circles. In fact, in 1957, he moved to Paris, where he remained for approximately four years.
