Formally, this translates into a restrained form that favors a dry physiognomy in a dynamic, vibrant pictorial style. His career developed in Milan, where he frequented the studio of Ermenegildo Agazzi. In 1939, he founded the \"La Rotonda\" group. In 1945, he formed the \"Il Gatto Nero\" group, whose activities would influence Milanese artistic life for about a decade. He participated in important exhibitions abroad as well.
