Description of the work
The aim was to create a large-scale work that would allow me, 1. to recount a painful moment for my family, 2. to integrate decorative elements into the central figure that would lighten the dramatic content, 3. I liked the idea of filling the spaces with pictorial elements that were not very realistic but significant from a strictly pictorial point of view (colours and brushstrokes).
